Products include:
- 3A Gravel
- Contains rocks smaller than 2 1/2" along with fines. This material packs very well and is often used when construction requires extensive fill on final surfaces.
- Common Uses: Base or final level for roads, driveways, parking lots or pads.
- 2A Gravel
- Contains rocks smaller than 1 1/2" along with fines. This material packs very well and is usually placed in 2" to 6" depths.
- Common Uses: Base or final level for roads, driveways, parking lots or pads.
- 3/4 Modified Gravel
- Contains rocks smaller than 3/4" along with fines. This material packs very well and is usually placed at a maximum of 4" deep.
- Common Uses: Final dressing on roads, driveways, parking lots or pads
- 2B Gravel
- Contains rocks smaller than 1 1/2" with minimal fines. This material does NOT pack, however, it allows water to drain.
- Common Uses include:: Blacktop mix, concrete mix and as a sub-base for concrete to be poured on. It is also used in applications requiring the draining of water such as under decks or to backfill perforated pipe.
- 1B Gravel
- Contains rocks smaller than 1/2" with minimal fines. This material does NOT pack, however, it allows water to drain.
- Common Uses: In blacktop and concrete mixes. It can also be used in a variety of landscaping and architectural applications as well as to top dress an established driveway.
- Anti-Skid Gravel
- Contains rocks up to 3/8".
- Common Uses: Improves traction on snow and ice. Anti Skid can be placed on driveways, parking lots etc. and when mixed with salt it will aid in traction and help melt the frozen material.
- #3 Gravel
- Contains rocks mainly between 1" to 2 1/2".
- Common Uses: Railroad ballast, and in drainage applications.
- #4 Gravel
- Contains rocks mainly between 2" to 4"
- Common Uses: Erosion control, tire scrubbers, new driveway base, and choking and bridging in muddy areas. It can also be used in landscaping and architectural applications.
- R4 through R8 Gravel
- R4 mainly 6" to 12" rock
- R5 mainly 9" to 18" rock
- R6 mainly 12" to 24" rock
- R7 mainly 18" to 30" rock
- R8 mainly 24" to 42" rock
- Screenings
- Manufactured sand with stone up to 1/4".
- Common Uses: To add compactable material to clean stone and as a bedding under pavers.
- Fill
- Fill is primarily the material found under topsoil, which lacks the nutritional minerals to grow vegetation. We have both screened and unscreened material. Unscreened fill can include rocks the size of basketballs or larger. We usually have screened fill available in sizes of 6" minus and 1" minus.
- Common Uses: When you have a large area to fill in or level that requires inexpensive compactable material.
